Our Purpose
The Korean Youth Educational Development Institute is an educational research organisation that studies and practises education for the sustainable growth of youth and adults. We pay close attention to the shift in what modern society requires of each person — moving beyond knowledge and technical skills toward self-understanding, self-direction, creativity, collaboration, and civic responsibility.
Accordingly, the Institute conducts a range of educational programs and research that complement formal schooling, with the goal of helping youth and adults explore their identity and life direction and grow with agency within society.
We also partner with schools, communities, and public and private institutions to spread the social value of education and to help build an educational ecosystem in which everyone can continue to grow throughout their life.
Detailed Objectives

Research and operation of programs for youth and adults
We research and develop educational programs on themes such as self-understanding, metacognition, and self-directed learning, and operate them as regular activities.

Educational content and research materials
We produce educational materials — textbooks, workbooks, lecture materials, and online content — that can be used in the field, and continuously accumulate and share the results of our research.

Partnership networks and social contribution
We partner with schools, communities, and public and private institutions to run educational programs and to broaden participation across a wide range of groups.
