[Free] K-BvB Youth Metacognition & Career Design — Pilot 1 participants (~06/28)
KYEDI is running the first pilot workshop of the K-BvB Youth Metacognition and Career Design program, developed from the German BvB model for the educational and career environment of young people in Korea.
This pilot is the first large-scale validation of the K-BvB curriculum we have developed through research and R&D: applying it with actual young participants and examining both the change it produces and its applicability in the field.
Funded by overseas R&D support, the program is free of charge, and runs with some 150 young people — university students, early-career workers, and those preparing to change jobs — who are weighing questions about career choice and job aptitude.
The aim is not to supply information about promising occupations or job openings, but to help participants look back on their own experience, strengths, thinking, and criteria for choosing, and design a career direction they lead themselves.

What the program covers
- Metacognition and self-understanding — identifying strengths and thinking patterns objectively by reflecting on one's own experience and behaviour, and building a basis for self-understanding from the SDI diagnostic that can inform career choices.
- Career exploration and knowledge as an asset — using Zettelkasten-based knowledge organisation to accumulate the knowledge and capabilities gained from experience, and connecting these to job exploration.
- Problem definition and questioning — redefining one's current career concerns as concrete problems, and practising the formation of the questions one's own situation calls for.
- Self-directed career design — bringing the earlier stages together to make concrete the achievable career paths and next actions available from one's current resources and capabilities.
