Open Call#13

2025 education partners and large-scale validation partners

Author Steering CommitteePosted 2025.01.15

Building on the K-BvB Pilot 1 and interim evaluation results from 2024, KYEDI is expanding the field application of the K-BvB educational model from 2025 and beginning large-scale validation research in earnest.

We are therefore recruiting education partners and research partners — university career and employment centres and municipal youth centres working in youth support — to take part in a second K-BvB validation at a scale of around 1,000 young people.

This is a research programme rather than simply the provision of an educational program: it sets out to establish what change K-BvB produces in young people's self-understanding and career design across different regions and educational settings, and to build an evidence-based standard model for youth career education in Korea.

Target scale
Around 1,000 young people during 2025

Accepted on a rolling basis

Who can partner

  • University career and employment centres
  • University youth career support bodies, such as University Job Plus Centres
  • Municipal youth centres
  • Regional youth support and career/employment organisations

What partners receive

  • The K-BvB metacognition and career design program free of charge — so that partners can run K-BvB's core curriculum with the young people they serve.
  • The SDI diagnostic free of charge — letting participants examine their strengths, thinking patterns, recurring activities, and career perceptions, and apply the results in education and self-design.
  • Support for validation at each institution — working with our R&D team to apply K-BvB in a way that suits each partner's operating environment and participants.

Questions the second validation addresses

  • Does the K-BvB effect hold across different groups of young people?
  • Does the effect differ between university students, early-career workers, and job changers?
  • Does the effect vary with the region and the institution's educational environment?
  • What is the relationship between SDI results and K-BvB educational outcomes?
  • Does change in metacognition, cognitive flexibility, and career design intent translate into actual career behaviour?

What partners do

  • Recruiting and briefing participants among the young people they serve
  • Agreeing schedules and space for running the K-BvB program
  • Assisting with participation and satisfaction surveys
  • Sharing views and suggested improvements from field operations
  • Assisting with the research and data collection the validation requires

Partners in this programme are not simply providers of a venue; they take part as field partners in large-scale K-BvB validation research. KYEDI will keep discussing operating arrangements with each partner so that the validation is meaningful in the field while keeping the operational burden on partners to a minimum.
