2026 H1 — KYEDI general members and Youth Mentor Corps (~04/10)

Author Steering CommitteePosted 2026.03.18

As free domestic dissemination of K-BvB expands in 2026, KYEDI is recruiting general members and youth mentors for the first half of the year, to lead the Institute's academic and research work and K-BvB mentoring with young people nationwide.

Completed through research, development, and validation since 2022, K-BvB enters full free dissemination from 2026 to universities, municipal youth centres, and lifelong learning institutions across the country.

We are accordingly expanding both our general membership, who carry out the Institute's academic work, and the K-BvB Youth Mentor Corps, who deliver metacognition-based career mentoring to young people, in order to build a nationwide structure for educational and research cooperation.

Places
KYEDI general members: around 30 / K-BvB Youth Mentor Corps: around 50
Deadline
Friday 10 April 2026, 23:59
Fields
Academic research / working groups / K-BvB education / one-to-one metacognitive mentoring / field validation and research cooperation

① KYEDI general members — around 30 places

  • Taking part in regular academic seminars and research meetings
  • Analysing research trends in youth and career education in Korea and abroad
  • Taking part in K-BvB research and working groups
  • Developing and reviewing educational programs and research materials
  • Sharing field cases in youth education and identifying research questions
  • Open to researchers and practitioners in education, psychology, counselling, careers, lifelong learning, and HRD — and to anyone with an interest in youth growth and self-design.

② K-BvB Youth Mentor Corps — around 50 places

  • One-to-one metacognitive mentoring with young K-BvB participants
  • Supporting self-understanding using SDI diagnostic results
  • Supporting young people through career concerns and problem definition
  • Offering questions and feedback for self-directed career design
  • Sharing mentoring cases and views from the field
  • Contributing feedback towards improving the K-BvB program

This recruitment aims to widen the research and teaching base for K-BvB's nationwide dissemination. General members support K-BvB's theoretical and educational development through the Institute's academic and research work, while the Youth Mentor Corps meets young people directly in the field and carries K-BvB's educational value to them. Through this, KYEDI is building a continuous cycle: research → education → mentoring → field feedback → research improvement.

In 2026, on the basis of free domestic dissemination, KYEDI will support more young people in designing their careers from metacognition and self-understanding. We will widen cooperation with universities and youth centres nationwide, and keep accumulating operating cases and data on young people's change to strengthen K-BvB's applicability in the field.
